This weekend, Toledoans for Trump put up a billboard along Monroe Street with a simple message:
“Trump is our President. Jesus is our King.”
The sign went up as part of our continued effort to bring clarity, conviction, and common sense back into the public square.
While a small group gathered nearby as part of a nationally organized “No Kings” protest, we chose to respond not with shouting — but with a statement.
A Clear Message in a Confused Moment
America does not have kings.
America has elections.
President Trump was elected through democracy. That is not monarchy. That is constitutional government working as designed.
For Christians, the only King is Jesus Christ.
That distinction matters.
In a moment when national rhetoric is increasingly dramatic and exaggerated, we wanted to offer a calm reminder of two basic truths:
- Trump is President.
- Jesus is King.
Free Speech Belongs to Everyone
We support the First Amendment. Americans have the right to gather and express their views.
And we have the same right.
If others can hold signs, we can hold a message. If they can speak, so can we.
That is how freedom works.
The Billboard Goes National
What began as a local statement quickly reached a national audience.
Photos of the billboard spread rapidly online and were shared by major accounts, including Libs of TikTok. Within hours, the message was circulating far beyond Toledo.
The response proved something important: people are hungry for clarity.
We Will Continue to Show Up
Toledoans for Trump is committed to standing publicly, peacefully, and boldly for constitutional government and biblical truth.
Toledo deserves leadership.
America deserves seriousness.
And Jesus is still King.
